A letter from the Board of Directors
Dear friend of the theatre,
As we’re sure you’re aware, our much-loved seats are in need of an upgrade. While they have served us well over the years, the time has come to replace them.
However, we need your support in our Replace the Seats Campaign.
We are forever indebted to you for your generosity. As a thank you:
Your donation of any amount will be recognized with your name and message in our 60th anniversary ad book.
With your gift of at least $250, we will recognize your donation with a name or message on a lobby plaque.
If you have donated in the past to recover a seat, thank you. With a gift of $200 or more (a $50 discount), we will recognize your donation on our lobby plaque.
Please join us from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Bloomfield High School for a $7 Pancake Breakfast.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the Replace the Seats Campaign — bring your friends and family, eat some breakfast and support the theatre.
We can’t thank you enough for your generosity.
The Shawnee Board of Directors
We're here because of you.
The Shawnee Theatre is proud to be Indiana's oldest, continuously-running summer stock theatre. But without you, it would never have happened.
For nearly six decades, the Shawnee Theatre has dazzled audiences as Indiana’s oldest, continuously-running summer stock theatre.
We’ve brought actors, actresses, directors, stage managers, electricians, sound engineers and more from across the country to Bloomfield each summer.
We hold kids camps each summer — exposing kids to the power of the performing arts each from a young age. Our venue is used by local school children, giving them access to a professional venue for their performances.
All of this wouldn’t be possible without your support.
The theatre exists as a nonprofit dedicated to bringing the very best of American theatre to Greene County and making it accessible to all in the area, region, state and country.
We commit to keeping our ticket prices low and we rely on the generosity of people like you — people who have seen firsthand the power of the performing arts, people who have seen one show or have seen a show each season and people who truly believe in the mission of our theatre.
We couldn’t make the magic happen without you. That’s why we’re asking for your support to continue to keep the magic alive. To keep us going for the next six decades. To ensure all in Greene County have access to professional theatre.
On behalf of the Shawnee Theatre staff and board, on behalf of those that will see the effect of your donation and on behalf of those that made the theatre what it is today — thank you!
