‘Our biggest, most ambitious season yet’: Shawnee ready for 60th consecutive season

After bringing thousands of people from around the country to Greene County last summer, the 60th straight Shawnee season kicks off in less than two weeks.

“When planning shows for this season, we went to our audience first to find out what they wanted to see,” Bri Lindsey, producing artistic director, said. “The result is our biggest, most ambitious season yet.”

Highlights of the season include the classic comedy The Odd Couple, a fun show for all ages with Miss Nelson Is Missing and the world’s most-loved musical, Grease.

Audiences will enjoy an improved experience at the theatre this summer with new and more comfortable seating and upgrades to the theatre’s air conditioning system.
