Meet the Company!
Alan Shepard - Actor/Playwright
Alan is very excited to be back at the historic Shawnee Summer theatre. He is also excited to once again be working with Matthew E. Graber and Lauren Morris. Even though Alan now lives in the wonderful tropical paradise that is Hawaii, he still considers Indiana his home (although he is more than happy to never see snow again). Alan has been doing loads of theatre in Honolulu. Some of the shows he has done there have included: Kyogen-Laughter for All Time, In the Heart of America, A Balinese Tempest, Fool for Love, and Kraken-Ka: The Tale of the Komodo Dragon. He is very excited to begin his final year of his MFA in Asian Performance and working with his Japanese Senseis during the upcoming Noh production. Alan is blessed with the opportunity to study traditional Kyogen, Kabuki, and Noh Japanese theatre forms. He also has a fondness for exploring the amazing sea life of Hawaii as a professional snorkeler. As always, he dedicates these performances to the memory of his beloved father, Carl Shepard. "I love ya, Pops. This is for you."
