Tristan Scott Barton Raines - Costume Designer
Tristan is excited to be able to be a part of the Shawnee's season for the second year in a row. Tristan has just completed his first year at Boston University where he is receiving his M.F.A. in Costume Design. He also holds a B.S. in Theatre Design: Costume Design from Northwest Missouri State University and has studied Shakespeare and musical theater at Imperial College in London. Tristan has worked at such theatres as Des Moines Metro Opera, New Rep Theater of Boston, and American Players Theater. Selected past designs include My Name is Rachel Corrie (NE Premiere), Pieces (NE Premiere), Removing the Glove, Same Time Next Year, Women and Wallace, The Yellow Boat, Buried Child, The Glass Menagerie, and Proof. Tristan is currently designing Lysistrata at the Wimberly Theater in Boston , and the opera Lucia di Lamermoor at Boston University. Tristan is also assistant costume designing Ah Wilderness under costume designer Devon Painter.
