R. Michael Johnson - Actor
Mike is Publisher and Editor of the Bloomfield Free Press, a weekly newspaper in Bloomfield. He has spent the last quarter-century in the news and publishing industries. Last season, he was cast as the undertaker in the Shawnee Theatre production of Our Town. Prior to that, his last appearance on stage was during a high school production of Bye Bye Birdie, when he was a freshman. After seeing (and hearing) his performance, high school officials named him Lighting Director for the remainder of his high school career. During the production of Our Town, he was asked to sing … then asked to hum … then asked to simply lip-sync the words. He currently lives on Main Street in Bloomfield with his wife, Beth and Justus, the Wonder Dog.
